Birchwood is an Irish family owned and operated B&B. Opened in 1991 Mary and Tom Mac Donnell have established a reputation as caring hosts offering excellent accommodation and food at reasonable rates. Birchwood is set on 1.5 acres of gardens in a tranquil rural location just outside the village of Kilgarvan with a south facing aspect overlooking a Birch Tree Forest and wonderful natural scenery. It is both Irish Tourist Board registered and carries 4 star rating from the AA. With 5 large comfortable and attractively decorated bedrooms including double, twin and family rooms it caters for a wide range of guests. Both the dining room and lounge face onto the gardens for your added enjoyment. Birchwood's many return guests can vouch for the most wonderful breakfast menu which caters for the most discerning palate and is served with fruits and juices of all kinds together with home made breads and preserves.
